REMEMBER ACAPULCO is an invitation to relive the splendor of the golden years of Acapulco, it is part of the tribute to the glamour and charm of a port that shines with its own brilliance, where memories of the past resonate in the impressive lobby of the AMARES hotel.
As an integral part of the concept of the new AMARES, Ostar Hotel Group, conceived the exhibition of a diverse collection of popular culture objects and a range of photographs in different formats, all representative of an era and somehow linked to the memories of Acapulco’s old days, which was once a world-renowned tourist destination. A star piece is the Valiant Acapulco, 1966 model, which welcomes guests to the hotel.
More than 200 pieces are presented in a colorful, fun, and accessible way. This way, its guests and visitors can enjoy a fantastic tour among vintage objects, where everyone enjoyed equally. And we all have one or several memories to share from what our vacations were, while the younger ones will discover an Acapulco that they did not know and still be able to enjoy it.
Additionally, this exhibition takes place in a circular tower that is a sculptural work in itself, created by the renowned architect Leonard J. Lundgren, who built two twin buildings, one in Los Angeles, California, and this emblematic tower inaugurated in 1971, a symbol of modernity and first world tourism from the mid-20th century.
